Terms of Service
Last updated: April 2025
1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using KeyStep (“the Service”) you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to any part of these terms, you may not use the Service. These terms apply to all visitors, registered users, and recruiters.
2. Service description
KeyStep is a job aggregation platform that:
- •Aggregates job listings from third-party sources (Adzuna, Reed, Remotive, Arbeitnow) and displays them in one place.
- •Allows registered users to save jobs, track applications, and upload a CV.
- •Allows recruiters to post job listings directly on the platform.
- •Uses AI tools to assist with CV parsing and job description parsing.
KeyStep is a technology platform, not a recruitment agency, and does not guarantee employment or placement.
3. User accounts & responsibilities
When you create an account, you agree to:
- •Provide accurate and truthful information in your profile and any applications.
- •Keep your account credentials secure and not share access with others.
- •Use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms.
- •Not scrape, crawl, or automate requests to the platform without written permission.
- •Not impersonate any person or misrepresent your identity or qualifications.
- •Not upload content that is unlawful, harmful, defamatory, or infringes third-party rights.
4. Job listing accuracy disclaimer
KeyStep aggregates job listings from third-party providers and does not verify, endorse, or guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or legality of any listing. Specifically:
- •Salary figures are indicative only and may differ from actual compensation offered.
- •Job availability may change — a listing visible on KeyStep may already be filled or closed at source.
- •Company names, locations, and job descriptions are provided by the originating source.
- •KeyStep is not responsible for the hiring decisions or conduct of any employer.
Always verify details directly with the employer before applying.
5. Recruiter responsibilities
If you post job listings on KeyStep as a recruiter, you agree to:
- •Post only genuine, lawful job opportunities at real organisations.
- •Provide accurate information about the role, company, location, salary, and requirements.
- •Not discriminate in job postings on grounds of race, gender, age, disability, religion, sexual orientation, or any other protected characteristic.
- •Remove or update listings promptly when a position is filled or no longer available.
- •Handle any candidate data you receive in compliance with applicable data protection laws.
KeyStep reserves the right to remove any listing that violates these requirements without notice.
6. Intellectual property
The KeyStep name, logo, and platform design are the intellectual property of KeyStep. Job listing content sourced from third-party APIs remains the property of those providers. You may not reproduce or commercially exploit any part of the Service without prior written consent.
7. AI-generated content
KeyStep uses AI tools (Google Gemini, Anthropic Claude) to assist with CV parsing and job description extraction. AI-generated suggestions are provided as a convenience only. You are responsible for reviewing and correcting any AI-generated content in your profile or job listings before relying on it.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, KeyStep is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of employment opportunity, loss of data, or reliance on inaccurate job listings. The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.
9. Account termination
KeyStep may suspend or terminate your account at any time if you:
- •Breach any provision of these terms.
- •Use the Service in a way that harms other users or the platform.
- •Post fraudulent or misleading job listings.
You may delete your account at any time by contacting keystep9@gmail.com. Upon deletion, your personal data will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
